Public Legal Education Association of Canada

What is PLEAC?
PLEAC is the national association for public legal education in Canada.

Founded in 1987, PLEAC is a non-profit organization with the following goals:

  • to support communication and cooperation between individuals and groups interested in public legal education,
  • to encourage the development of knowledge and skills in this field, and
  • to act as a national voice and advocate on issues that concern PLEAC members.

Who can join PLEAC?
Any individual or organization promoting, developing, or supporting public legal education can join.

Why should I join?
If you are interested in any aspect of public legal education, joining PLEAC will introduce you to colleagues across Canada, and help you share information and resources. Among other things, PLEAC holds an annual conference offering you a chance to join others in professional development activities.

With your membership support, PLEAC can work at the national level to represent issues that concern you.
