There are a number of ways that the law can assist someone who is in an abusive relationship. This publication explains some legal options for dealing with an abusive spouse or partner.

Hopefully, this publication will also make more people aware of relationship violence and help them understand the harm caused. Abuse between spouses or partners is not just a private problem. Assaulting another person is a crime, whether they are a spouse, a partner, or a stranger.
