The federal government regulates cannabis through the Cannabis Act. Saskatchewan has its own cannabis laws in The Cannabis Control Act. Both laws play a role in creating and enforcing rules about cannabis.
The production, sale and use of cannabis is heavily regulated. This includes rules around things like packaging to possession.
The Cannabis Act and the Criminal Code set out criminal offences related to cannabis. The use, production, distribution, sales, import and export of cannabis are regulated in this way.
