Debts & Credit

Credit

The ability to purchase goods or services on credit will depend on whether the lender considers you creditworthy. There are a number of tools available to lenders to help them determine the risk to them before they offer or approve a credit arrangement.

Debt

Debt can be created in a variety of ways. Creditors have different options for collecting on unpaid debts, depending on the nature of the debt.

Foundations Learning & Skills Saskatchewan offers free money management workshops that focus on budgeting, banking, credit and debt management, asset building, and spending habits. Foundations also offers adult, family, and children's literacy programs, as well as literacy facilitator trainings and resources.

The Regina Public Library and Saskatoon Public Library are hosting free Law Fair events during Saskatchewan Access to Justice Week to connect people with free legal information, assistance, and support. Attend to acquire legal knowledge and to broaden awareness of legal rights and responsibilities!
