eHealth Saskatchewan

eHealth Saskatchewan maintains health registries and vital statistics. They deal with name changes, changes to birth registrations, and access to birth registrations.

Through eHealth Saskatchewan, you can:

  • change your name through an application process
  • change your name by election for spouses and separating spouses
  • change the parents listed on a birth registration
  • change the sex designation on a birth certificate
  • for birth parents and adopted individuals, access information on birth registration

Birth Registrations & Certificates

All births in Saskatchewan must be properly registered. There are rules that govern naming a child and the information that will appear on their birth certificate.
